We are always striving to be clean eaters on our house. Clean eating does require prep work and more cooking than say eating out every meal (aaahh, the thought of no dishes to clean, so tempting…stay strong Jennifer!) :). The following is what works for us to keep a clean eating menu but also keep me from spending all day in the kitchen every day. We are not perfect, and I will be honest we stick to very simple and basic eating. I find that the more I branch out and try different recipes…the more I spend and eat. Our menu is definitely modified to fit our needs. We have several severe food allergies in our family which means avoiding several types of food all together (notice no eggs, no nut butters etc….if I have my almond milk treat, I pretty much sneak it after everyone is asleep and clean uphill of the evidence). That is why we have to use different ways to add fat servings (i.e. Avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, flax).
